Composite Bonding

A Simple and Cost-Effective Treatment for Damaged Teeth

Sometimes called tooth bonding or dental bonding, composite bonding is a great way to address issues with slightly imperfect or damaged teeth. Composite bonding is minimally invasive, highly effective, simple, and cost-effective.

Before we start the composite bonding process, we’ll show you what you can expect your new smile to look like after we’ve carried out the procedure.

We can provide composite bonding alongside teeth whitening. This improves the general look of all of your teeth. If you’re having a whitening treatment alongside composite bonding, we’ll carefully colour-match the resin we use during the procedure.

Instant Change

Often, when you need a cosmetic dental procedure, you may worry about the length of time it will take to fix your smile. Composite bonding is virtually instantaneous, and can usually be carried out in one or two short sessions.

To correct minor problems, we’ll apply a composite resin directly onto your teeth. This will be moulded and shaped to your tooth, refining its appearance, and enhancing the enamel.

Prior to the placement of the composite resin, your dentist won’t need to remove any of the structure of your tooth. As a result, the treatment is pain-free and fast.

After your dentist has applied the resin and is happy with how it looks, a special UV light will be used to harden the material. Once hardened, you’ll be able to enjoy eating confidently immediately.

Amazing Dental Clinic. All the staff are so efficient, helpful, friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. Alfonso is an absolute genius and so calm, kind and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who is worried about having implants.

Cosmetic Bonding FAQs

  • As with many dental procedures, the secret to preserving results is in the aftercare. A stringent hygiene routine with regular brushing along with regular trips to the dentist and hygienist will ensure the results of composite bonding will be evident for years to come.

  • We use a composite resin that’s designed to withstand the regular wear and tear associated with biting, chewing, and brushing. As long as you look after your teeth, the resin should stay intact for a very long time.

  • Not at all. It’s probably the least invasive treatment in modern dentistry. In fact, it’s such a gentle procedure that you won’t even need any anaesthetic before we start.
